On the morning of October 13, 2025, Davis High School notified the Kaysville Police Department that a single 9mm bullet had been found on the floor of a locker room. Kaysville Police school resource officers immediately responded and initiated an investigation. Officers reviewed school security footage, interviewed individuals, and conducted thorough searches throughout the building. No weapons or additional bullets were located.
As a precaution, the school was placed under a “HOLD” protocol, requiring students to remain in their classrooms or designated areas while staff secured and locked doors and accounted for all students. Classes resumed as normal once the “HOLD” was lifted. At no time were students or staff in immediate danger.
