On October 2, 2025, at approximately 8:00 p.m., a body was discovered near the Shoreline Trail in the area of Adams Canyon. Officers from the Kaysville Police Department and deputies from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The Davis County Sheriff’s Office has now taken over this active investigation.
Based on clothing descriptions, there is reason to believe the individual may be Colin Mills, who was recently reported missing. The Medical Examiner’s Officer will make the official identification of the body.
We have been in contact with Colin’s family, and they are aware of the ongoing investigation. We sincerely appreciate the public’s support, patience, and assistance over the past several weeks as search efforts have taken place.
