On July 10, 2025, at approximately 8:27 AM, officers responded to a report of a suspicious explosive device at the park and ride off of 950 N in Kaysville. In response to the potential threat, the Davis County Sheriff’s office was called on scene. Traffic on 950 N was closed due to safety concerns of the device. The device was safely detonated by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad, and roads are back open. Kaysville Police has collected the remnants for further investigation.
Officers have done a scan of the surrounding areas, and there is no discernible threat to the community. This is still an ongoing investigation, and we appreciate the community’s patience.
